About me

I'm a second-year interior design student at Jadara University in Irbid, Jordan.

I'm Leen - a second-year interior design student at Jadara University in Irbid, Jordan. Leen's Atelier is my own quiet studio practice. It's where I test ideas, draw in pencil, collect materials, and slowly develop a way of working between school briefs.

How I work

I start by listening. Every drawing begins with a long conversation, or a long sit in the room - when light is wanted, when it is not, where things are put down at the end of the evening.

I design with the senses in mind. I choose materials for how they feel under hand and foot before I choose them for how they look.

I work with what is there. Old plaster, old tile, old timber - I keep more than I replace, and I don't pretend the new is old.

I draw in pencil first. Computers are for fabrication, not for thinking.
